Board of Directors

Bíró Ágnes (President)

During my years in Canada I have always been involved and helped local Hungarian organizations work. After moving to Guelp 10 years ago I joined the work of Kossuth House as a helper.

For the third time, I have been the president of the Kossuth House. Since I was born in Cluj-Napoca, the fate of the Hungarians and keeping the culture has always been important in my life. I am a mother of two grown-ups and a grandmother of a small boy, and I'm also substitute mother of several young families. I worked in health care, as a  nurse.

At present  we are running a small family business with my husband, and as time allows us we really love to travel.

Ádám Erika (Vice president)

I moved to Canada together with my husband in 2008, and since then we live in Guelph. With the birth of our son Mark, we considered important to give him our Hungarian culture and our mother tongue, and actively participate in the activity of the Hungarian community here. We were delighted to discover that we have a nice community of Hungarians here.

There has been a lot of friendship ever since we are in this community, and I hope the common goal will always be a tie-up. Our new team wants to enrich and unite the Hungarian community of Kitchen, Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge with new ideas and programs with the leadership of the Hungarian House.

Németh Enikő (Secretary)

Since 2015 I have been a teacher of the Hungarian School of Kitchener, and hence a frequent visitor and organizer of the Kossuth House family and children programs. For 15 years as a Waterloo School Board employee,  I work with autistic children. I live with my family in Kitchener.
